buy land british columbia
Can someone tell me what “placer property” means?
I was looking for online for some cheap land to buy and came across some mining properties for sale in British Columbia, Canada and there was a list of “placer properties” and one of the ads was for 100 acres in the Rocky Mountains for $5,000 which sounds good to me. I don’t care or know anything about mining, I just want to buy the property to build a cabin on it or something. But I don’t know and couldn’t find any info on what aa placer property is, and if you actually own the land or if you can build on it, or what…
Here’s a link to the website I;m looking at (the places I am interested in are near the bottom of the page)

“placer” means “mining”. you need to know how these places are zoned. odds are, if you’re paying anything more then 300K, it’s probably got a cabin on it already;.
